The Cartwheels



Dave and Wendy from the Cartwheels met in the early nineties, she was in a band called the Sparnetts (soon to be golden guitar winners) and he in the ARIA nominated, golden guitar, triple MO Award winning band The Happening Thang. Fast forward a couple of years and they had a son called Charley whom at a young age was drawn to the drums. In true Carter Family style they started playing at home and local venues eventually recording their debut C.D. when Charley was eight. The Cartwheels have played at major festivals in Australia and most recently recorded their third C.D.

Wendy’s vocals range from gutsy to heartbreaking and her songs tell of everyday life. Charley is a 2010 graduate of the Australian Academy of Country Music. Guitarist Jeff Mercer played in Slim Dusty’s Travelling Country band for nearly a decade as well as playing with Troy Cassar- Daly and Sarah Storer and completes the Cartwheels as one of the hottest country bands in Australia.

The Dalton Gang

The Dalton Gang burst onto the Australian music scene in April 1995 and their polished sound and well crafted arrangements have been impressing audiences ever since.Their first performance was at Melbourne’s Dallas Brooks Hall as support for American country star Don Williams. Not only did the audience want to hear more of this talented threesome, but Don and his band commented that ….”The Dalton Gang sounded more like a hot five piece band than a trio…”

Since then, The Dalton Gang has been chosen to work with artists such as Beccy Cole, Deniese Morrison, Noel Watson and Johnny Chester.

After 23 years together they are still working hard and enjoying playing at venues and festivals wherever and whenever.

Danny Stain

Danny Stain has been an important member of the Australian music industry from a very young age, establishing himself by performing with many great local and international acts.

After stamping his virtuoso guitar sound on countless Australian music albums, he is now gaining an even greater renown as a solo artist.

Danny is at present keeping very busy with his Johnny Cash tribute show  “ Cash Up Front”

Bec Hance

Hoisting her swag of accolades over one shoulder and her trusty guitar on the other, Bec Hance walks the country road as one of only a few women making their mark in the traditional country genre.
The talented singer/songwriter has a long list of admirers around the nation both for her honest, funny, catchy or melancholy lyrics as well as her engaging personality.
Remaining true to the heritage country genre with her music composition, Bec is breaking the mould through her lyrics, which border on bush balladeer and in some cases, full-out comedy.

A love of the Australian bush and animals is woven into songs covering life, love and loss.
Bec has firmly cemented her place in the industry and is widely sought-after for festivals and events across Australia.
She has cut her teeth in the industry, working hard to cement her stellar reputation.
Now, after releasing her fourth album in 2013, she is a crowd favourite at festivals around the country, having played stages around the nation to acclaim.
Her beautifully crafted lyrics evoke strong emotions from audiences who yearn for pure country music.
She classes herself as an Australiana artist who retains the traditional sound country music in Australia and the USA were built on and bring them together with a modern twist.


Cameron Mason

Cameron has been writing and performing Country Music from his early teens. Rarely a day went by when Country Music wasn’t coming from the Mason family home. Much of Cameron’s influence coming from his musician Grandfather and also his father’s love of Country Music.

At an early age Cameron was a big fan of legends such as Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Charlie Pride, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Don Williams, and Waylon and Willie.

Cameron still performs many tunes from his heroes along with a few original tunes as well.

Over the years Cameron has appeared on stages all around Australia from Burnie in Tasmania to Cooktown in Queensland’s far north with a vast array of Country Stars such as Chad Morgan, Reg Poole, Jimmy Little, Troy Cassar-Daley, Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey, John Williamson, Lee Kernaghan, and Slim Dusty.

At the age of eighteen Cameron was signed to Nashville publishing Company “Loose-ends Music”. In later years signing with Warner-Chappell Music Australia.

Cameron became a finalist in Tamworth’s Starmaker Quest in 1993 and again in 1995.

In the late 90’s Cameron had formed the popular band “Runaway Train” winning Tamworth’s battle of the bands competition followed up by a Golden Guitar nomination for best group in 1998.

Cameron’s original song “What am I gonna do?” gained high rotation on Country radio and film clip on CMC.

Cameron now appears on a regular basis at Clubs, Festivals and stages Australia wide following his dream as a Country performer. Whether it be solo or with his band Cameron Mason is one act not to be missed.
